Planning a trip to Maine? This is where you can find the best Maine travel tips, vacation guides, and read all about our own experiences.

Hailing from Massachusetts and Vermont, we’ve spent a lot of time exploring New England. This includes many family vacations and road trips to the great state of Maine!

Our favorite way to explore Maine is by picking up a rental car. You can do this by flying into Portland, or from big cities like Boston.

From there, it will be easy to hit the coast and see all the best beach towns. On our most recent Maine vacation, we took an awesome 5 day road trip.

Some of the highlights were visits to Old Orchard Beach, Kennebunkport, and Boothbay Harbor. Maine is a destination with so many great outdoor activities, beaches, and delicious seafood to enjoy.

Check out all our Maine travel guides for helpful tips and stories from our own trips. It won’t be long until we’re back in New England, so stay tuned!

Maine Travel Tips

Money: The US Dollar is used throughout the United States.

Location: Part of the New England region of the United States. It shares borders with New Hampshire and Canada.

Language: English is the official language in the United States.

Seasons: The best part of this state is that you get all four seasons! The most popular time to visit is during the warm months of summer.

This is when you can enjoy the amazing beaches on the coastline. We also love planning a Maine trip around the spring and fall. This time of year you’ll find less crowds, colorful foliage, and still decent weather.

What to Eat & Drink: Maine has a wide variety of cuisine to enjoy. Be sure to try their world-famous lobster and more tasty seafood hits.
