Hailing from Massachusetts and Vermont, we’ve spent a lot of time exploring New England. This includes many family vacations and road trips to the great state of Maine!
Our favorite way to explore Maine is by picking up a rental car. You can do this by flying into Portland, or from big cities like Boston.
From there, it will be easy to hit the coast and see all the best beach towns. On our most recent Maine vacation, we took an awesome 5 day road trip.
Some of the highlights were visits to Old Orchard Beach, Kennebunkport, and Boothbay Harbor. Maine is a destination with so many great outdoor activities, beaches, and delicious seafood to enjoy.
