Planning a trip to Thailand? From the big cities to the beautiful islands, there are so many incredible destinations to discover! Here’s where you can find our best Thailand travel tips, island guides, and much more.
Our first trip to Thailand was back in 2016 when we first started our website. We visited Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Krabi, then headed off to explore the islands. After hitting Koh Lanta and Koh Jum, we were completely sold.
Since then, we have made numerous trips to Thailand and have written extensively about our experiences. If you couldn’t tell, it’s become our favorite place to travel to in Southeast Asia!
Some of the most stunning islands we’ve been to are Phuket, Koh Phangan, and Koh Lipe. We also love the temples and night markets in Chiang Mai, and of course all the delicious street food!
It’s no secret that Thailand’s beaches are second to none. Still, don’t miss out on the cultural activities, national parks, and small local villages.
One of the best parts about Thailand is that it’s perfect for any budget. Whether you’re looking for a luxury vacation or on a backpacking journey, there’s something for every type of traveler!
Money: Thai Baht is the official currency.
Location: Thailand is located in Southeast Asia. It’s bordered by Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, and Malaysia.
Language: Unsurprisingly, the language spoken here is Thai! Be sure to read all our Thailand guides like this one for a few easy words and phrases to know.
Seasons: Thailand has both dry and wet seasons to be aware of. Wet or monsoon season typically runs from late May to October, while the dry season goes from November to April. We recommend visiting before March if possible when it can start getting extremely humid.
What to Eat & Drink: Thai food is so diverse and delicious! While most people know the classics like pad thai, there’s so much more to this popular cuisine. It features a mix of spicy curries, noodle soups, and fried rice dishes. Thailand is also a great place to go for vegans and vegetarians.
