We’ve now been to Switzerland several times together, and it’s becoming one of our favorite countries in Europe. We immediately fell in love with the nature, food, and small local villages like Iseltwald.
Our first Switzerland trip was in 2023 when we had a quick Zurich layover. Many travelers will start their journey by flying into the big cities such as Geneva or Zurich Switzerland. From there, you can rent a car or utilize the fantastic train system to get around.
In the summer of 2024, we headed back to Switzerland to spend one week in the Jungfrau region. Here we used Interlaken Switzerland as our base to explore the many mountains, lakes, and epic viewpoints.
Some of our favorite highlights were the days we rode the gondolas and historic trains to the scenic peaks of Jungfrau. This included hiking at Schynige Platte, a day trip to Jungfraujoch, Grindelwald-First, and even a once in a lifetime Schilthorn Brunch!
Truly, there is so much to see and do in this amazing European country. Check out all our Switzerland travel guides for tips, and to hear all about our own experiences.
