Planning a trip to Europe? Here’s where you can find all our best Czech Republic travel tips, guides, and delicious food.
Our first trip to the country was in 2022. Here we worked with the Prague city tourism board to see the incredible sites.
We climbed the incredible Prague towers, visited a beer spa, explored the castle complex, and tasted endless traditional dishes. The history and architecture alone is enough to captivate you on your city trip!
Check out all our Czech Republic travel guides for tips, and to hear all about our own experiences. We plan to go back to see more of the country as soon as this summer. Stay tuned!
Money: Czech Koruna is the official currency as they have not yet adopted the Euro. We recommend getting the best exchange rate possible, or use a bank that has no ATM fees.
Location: The Czech Republic is located in Central Europe. It borders the countries of Poland, Germany, Austria, and Slovakia. The country is landlocked with no sea. However, there are plenty of stunning lakes and mountain towns to see on your Czech Republic trip.
Language: Czech is the language spoken throughout the Czech Republic. Still, English is widely spoken throughout the country. It’s a good idea to learn a few easy phrases in Czech to help you along your journey.
Seasons: The summer season from June to August is the most popular time to visit Prague. However, the spring and fall are also great with fun festivals and fewer tourists. The temperature stays moderate year round in the Czech Republic. The exception to this is during winter when there is plenty of snow.
What to Eat & Drink: Czech cuisine is so delicious! Travelers will enjoy soups and hearty meat dishes with influence from the surrounding countries. Pilsner is probably the most famous thing produced in the Czech Republic, and it’s often said that beer is cheaper than water. Sounds good to us!
