Are you planning a trip to Germany? The beautiful country has become one of favorites in all of Europe! This is the page to find our best Germany travel tips, city guides, and outdoor adventures.

Brigitte has family in the North Rhine-Westphalia and spent a lot of time there growing up. We’ve now been to Germany several times together, and fell in love with the food, nature, and exciting cities.

Our first Germany trip was in 2018 when we took a lovely drive on the Romantic Road. This included stops in Rothenburg ob der Tauber, famous Neuschwanstein Castle, and much more. Another amazing road trip we’ve done was along the Alpine Road which crosses into Austria.

Many travelers will start their journey by flying into Berlin or Munich and renting a car. From there, you can drive through the stunning lake towns, or even do some skiing during the winter.

Truly, there is so much to see and do in this vast European country. When starting to plan out your Germany travel, there are definitely a few things you should know first.

Check out all our Germany guides for tips, and to hear all about our own experiences. Also, be sure to taste as much local German food as possible along your journey.
