Greece is one of our favorite countries in the world, and we’ve now been to over 20 different islands. Still, we found Karpathos to be completely unique from anywhere else.
Our first visit to Karpathos Island was in 2021. We had just spent an amazing two weeks on Rhodes which was our introduction to the Dodecanese Islands.
From there we traveled to both Symi and Halki, followed by a ferry ride over to Karpathos. While we loved all the Greek islands on this trip, Karpathos really stood out to us.
As soon as we caught a glimpse of the magnificent mountains and beaches we were sold! We took one week to travel around Karpathos Greece, stopping in so many beautiful villages and beaches along the way.
Our most memorable time was exploring the colorful mountain town of Olympos. We even took a day trip by boat to Saria Island and did some snorkeling!
Check all our Karpathos guides for tips from our own adventures. It won’t be long until we’re back on this amazing Greek island, so stay tuned!
