Finding the Heli Lounge Bar

Like we said, if you’re walking near the Heli Bar you likely won’t know where it is. It’s actually in a commercial district of the city, and not near many other bars in Kuala Lumpur. When you walk into the unassuming lobby you might question even more if you’re in the right spot.

Just hop on one of the assigned elevators, and take it all the way to the 34th floor. From there you’ll walk up two flights of stairs to the front desk area. At check-in you’ll have to pay at 50 MYR which gives you access to the helipad and your first drink.

For Kuala Lumpur the prices are high by any standard, but ultimately you are paying for the view. Grab a seat near the bar and wait for the server to bring you your drink before proceeding up to the rooftop Heli Lounge Bar.

*If you know what night you want to visit you can make a reservation beforehand and guarantee yourself a table at the Heli Bar for sunset. The reserved tables sit on the outer ring with the best views. Otherwise, it’s first come first serve!

Atmosphere at the Heli Bar

The bar below the rooftop section is a swanky space with pieces of old helicopters that are used as decor. The view from here  alone is worth it for the visit, but wait until you see the top!

As you climb the stairs of Heli Lounge in Kuala Lumpur, it’s hard not to imagine how awesome owning your own private helicopter would be… Yet, for now I guess we’ll have to settle for grabbing a drink on the roof!

Tables and chairs fill the Heli Bar, and a thin rope protects wandering visitors from creeping too close to the edge. The staff is very attentive and tries to find a seat for everyone. Nevertheless, it gets crowded for sunset so don’t be afraid to make friends and share a table.

Heli Lounge Bar Menu

At Heli Lounge Bar you can order everything from craft cocktails, to imported wine and local beers. Besides the full bar below, there’s another bar on the roof so you’ll never wait too long for a drink. The modern Heli Lounge Bar menu offers a light fare that you can order on either level.

When ordering food at any Kuala Lumpur rooftop bars keep in mind that you’ll likely have a crowd around you at sunset. One night we watched a couple order a full spread with drinks.

Unfortunately, their table happened to be where everyone crowded around to take photos. Maybe stick to the drinks until the sun goes down, or at least see where you’re sitting first. Our Favorites from the Heli Lounge Bar menu were the Lychee Martini & Mojito. Cheers!

Best Sunset Spot in Kuala Lumpur

The Heli bar view is beautiful, but the sunset is the true show stopper! From the top of the Heli Lounge in Kuala Lumpur you can watch as the sun goes down and the buildings light up one by one in the night.

We loved circling the helicopter pad to see the city from every angle possible. If you’re planning to catch the sunset just make sure to get there as early as possible before it fills up.

The crowds are drawn to the Heli Lounge Bar for sunset, but stay for the epic skyline and night club vibes. The city comes alive when the sun go down, and that’s also the DJ’s cue to turn the music up.

On a clear night you can see the lights of Kuala Lumpur that stretch for miles into the far neighborhoods of Malaysia’s capital. While Kuala Lumpur rooftop bars are certainly trendy, this truly is unlike anything else you’ll experience. I guess it isn’t every day that you have drinks on top of a helicopter pad!

The environment is nice. Even the waiter also good services. However, all the waiter also didn’t wear mask services the customer. Even whenever bring the beer and food to customer also no wear mask and nose in short distance with food. Even complaint to the management and management just said OK and didn’t take an action. Pls ensure follow sip rules and compliance.
