We bought an apartment in Bansko, Bulgaria! After many years visiting this up and coming digital nomad destination, we took the leap and bought a place ourselves. Our Bansko apartment rental has everything you need for the perfect long-term stay. We designed it with other remote workers in mind! Here’s everything to know about our one bedroom apartment and more tips for where to stay in Bansko.
Why You Should Visit Bansko Bulgaria
Bansko, Bulgaria, is a popular ski town in the stunning Pirin Mountains. Every winter, thousands of tourists descend on the town, turning it into a lively winter wonderland. If you didn’t know, Bansko Ski Resort is the largest in all of the Balkans!
While the winter activities are the main draw to Bansko from January through April, this is an amazing place to visit in summer as well. We’ve spent many months here during this time of year hiking, swimming, and mountain biking.
Here are some of our favorite things to do in Bansko in the summer. You’ll even be under 3 hours drive from Thessaloniki and the beaches of northern Greece!
Remote Working in Bansko
Over the years, Bansko has also became a premier hotspot for digital nomads and remote workers. It’s full of great co-working offices and cafes where you can socialize and meet others that live a similar lifestyle.
We always use Altspace Coworking during our visits. They have great rates for both long and short stays, multiple locations around town, and social gatherings like the legendary Friday Beers! Bansko is also home to the Nomad Fest, which brings hundreds of travelers to the town for the festival every June.
Yes, there are other travel bloggers like us, but we’ve met people from all walks of life and work backgrounds in Bansko. It’s a place where you can have a mix of work and pleasure in the great outdoors, no matter what time of year you visit.

Our apartment in Bansko is just over the river from Pirin Street, the pedestrian-only walking strip in town. We picked this location because you can reach everything on foot. Here’s how close you’ll be:

🥖 Local Mini Mart – 4 min
🍷 D&V Wine Bar – 4 min
🏔 Main Walking Street – 6 min

Keep in mind, this is just 800 meters from the Ski Gondola! The walk there is a nice stroll along the river with stunning mountain views the whole way.

All About Our Apartment in Bansko Bulgaria
The apartment is 54 m² on the 4th floor (easy walk-up) with a private terrace overlooking the mountains. This is the perfect spot for morning coffee or an evening sunset drink.
It’s designed for two, but can sleep four if needed on our large fold out couch. Speaking of the couch, we just put in huge windows in so you can look directly out to the mountains!
There is a work desk, full kitchen, washing machine, and electric stovetop, and oven. All the appliances, furniture, and bed are brand new, which we added at the end of 2025.
