What’s known as a part of everyday life in Granada is guaranteed to be the ultimate food experience for any visitor! Not only is Granada an amazing city filled with history, but it has some of the very best tapas bars and restaurants in Spain. So join us on our tour around town, as we share the best Granadas tapas, delicious drinks, and so much more.
About the Best Tapas Bars in Granada
Let us describe to you what might be the most fun restaurant business plan in the world. Something we’ve come to refer to as “climbing the ladder.”
At some of the best Granada tapas bars you can still pick your own from a small menu, but the original style is much better!
The majority of the tapas bars in Granada will gift you a small plate of food depending on the number of drinks you order. This means with each beer or wine, comes a new and unique tapa!
Even if we were full, it was always a constant struggle not to order another round. We were so amazed by how much bigger and better the Granada tapas were getting!

How to Order Granada Tapas
1. Go to any place serving Granada tapas and order a drink! Our recommendation in the summer is the Tinto de Verano, which is red wine on ice mixed with lemon soda.
2. Once you order your drink, the bar will then give you a plate of food for free. Most of the best restaurants in Granada Spain will serve whatever is fresh that day, so you know it’s going to be good.
3. Repeat as many times as necessary!
How Much Do Granadas Tapas Cost?
Simple as that… You’re on your way up the ladder! Drinks at the Granada tapas bars are typically between 3-5 Euros. Also, it’s great to know you’re not required to order something with alcohol for every round.
There are plenty of other great beverages that will get you free tapas! Soda, water, or non-alcoholic beer are perfectly acceptable.
Most restaurants have specialties such as seafood, meat, or sandwiches as your free plate. Even though the levels of the ladder change daily, the general type of Granada tapas at each place stays the same.

This place is so popular that if you don’t arrive as soon as the door opens you’ll have to fight the crowd to place your order.
There are several branches of the same name as the original. Here’s the actual location we always go. We’ve also included some pictures of all the tapas rounds from our recent visit.
Honestly, this was some of the freshest and cheapest seafood we’ve ever had! Any trip here wouldn’t be complete without a visit to one of the best restaurants in Granada Spain, Bar Los Diamantes.
