Pre-Scheduling Your Activities & Bangkok Tour

One thing that’s great about TAGTHAi is that for most of the things to do you can just show up and scan your app. However, there are a select few Bangkok sights to see you need to plan in advance for.

  • Tuk Tuk Hop
  • Popular Restaurant Reservations
  • Spa or Haircuts

Aside from these, it’s up to you how you spend your day! With all the options available you’ll have no problem having the best day ever!

Best Places to Visit in Bangkok with TAGTHAi

TAGTHAi is great because you won’t be restricted to just one area of the city. While many of best attractions are centered around Bangkok Old Town, there are plenty of things to do and see all around the capital! From eating out in Chinatown t0 museums and river cruises, there’s so much to experience on your one day Bangkok tour.

When opening the TAGTHAi app, we found it easiest to search by using the map view. From there, you can click on the markers to find activities in the general area that you’re located.

When we were planning our day we first picked stuff we were really excited about. This included Tuk Tuk Hop, Mahanakorn Skywalk, and the river cruise. From there we added on cafes, restaurants, and museums based on what was around us.

How to Plan Your Day With TAGTHAi Pass

A small piece of advice we should share is that you shouldn’t overload your day. The city is massive and when looking at the TAGTHAi app it will be tempting to add dozens of different stops to your day.

It’s not that we don’t want you to make the most out TAGTHAi . This is just a friendly heads up to factor in the transport in getting around to the different things offered. For example, we picked many activities that we could walk between. When we had to get to a different area of the city we would just jump in a cheap tuk tuk!

All together we spent around 300 Baht on getting around which we thought was a steal for the distance covered. While Bangkok is massive, it’s still both easy and affordable to get around.

Our One Day TAGTHAi Bangkok Tour

Morning Coffee & River Cruise

We started off our day using TAGTHAi with a delicious coffee. Staying at Ago Hotel in Chinatown, it was easy to walk to Hēi Jīi cafe for our first stop.

This unique shop has a fun twist on the morning beverage that we weren’t expecting. The cold coffee had a ying yang design formed on the top of the cup with dark bitter coco powder. It was served with a custard bun and sweet dipping sauce.

After breakfast, we strolled down to Sathon Pier. The river cruise was something we were most excited for when planning our Bangkok tour.

While floating along the famous Chao Phraya River is a fun activity in itself, it can also take you to many of the best places to visit in Bangkok! With TAGTHAi you can jump on and off the Chao Phraya tourist boat at all its different stops.

Tuk Tuk Hop

Another awesome way to see the city is by taking the Tuk Tuk Hop Bangkok tour! You’ll need to plan this a day in advance and decide if you want to take the 10am or 2pm ride. We chose to go in the morning which was perfect timing before it got too hot!

Tuk Tuk Hop takes you around Bangkok’s most famous streets and is a great introduction to the capital. The tour guide pointed out all the most important monuments and temples as we cruised thought the streets.

One of the reasons we loved this tour is that it uses an electric tuk tuk! Gliding along in an electric taxi was such a cool change from the motorized ones you see everywhere in Thailand.

Once you finish with Tuk Tuk Hop you’ll be in the center of Old Town. From there, we made our way back to Chinatown for lunch and stopped at Wat Suthat Temple on the way.

Lunch at Seafood Cafe & Restaurant

For lunch we headed to a restaurant we really wanted to try! The Seafood Cafe & Restaurant has highly rated food and is a great place to try traditional Thai specialties.

We ordered Tom Yum with prawn soup, crab sticks, shrimp pad thai, and crab fried rice. With the TAGTHAi app you can pick between 4 different delicious sets.

Mahanakorn Skywalk

Ready to climb to the tallest viewpoint in the city? The Mahanakorn Skywalk is one of the best places to visit in Bangkok! An elevator takes you up to the 78th floor which is 315 meters (1,030 feet) high.

From atop, you’ll have a panoramic view of Bangkok and there’s even a cafe where you can get a beer, cocktail, or cold drink. The level underneath the roof has fun and interactive art displays that are great for the whole family. For those who dare, you can even walk out onto the glass panel and look directly down to the busy Bangkok streets below.

The cost for the skywalk is around 950 THB per person which comes out around $27 USD. It can vary slightly depending on the time of day you visit and if you select any add ons. However, this is essentially the same cost as the TAGTHAi pass… So it’s easy to see the value of the app!

Dinner at Baan Khanitha Restaurant

Not far from the Mahanakorn Skywalk in the city center is a great restaurant to visit. Baan Khanitha has been serving up Thai Cuisine since 1993. The TAGTHAi app included 3 different options. We ordered the spring rolls and salted egg pork belly and bean curd stew which were amazing!

Something we loved about TAGTHAi was that you could use it for what was included, but then purchase more food on your own. So after the appetizers you can get order more food or drinks if you’d like.

Cocktails at Banyan Tree

Speaking of drinks, TAGTHAi has another awesome experience available! There are numerous different rooftop bars around the city to enjoy, but our favorite was at the Banyan Tree hotel. We went for sunset and it was the perfect end to our day.

We had two cocktails that where served with spicy nuts and small nibbles. Hands down, this is one of the best views in the city for sunset. It was definitely a highlight of our time exploring Bangkok with TAGTHAi.

Is TAGThai Worth it for Bangkok Sightseeing?
