6 Things to do in Nusa Ceningan Indonesia (Blue Lagoon & More!)

Nusa Ceningan Indonesia

Nusa Ceningan and its spectacular Blue Lagoon have grown in popularity over the last few years as tourism has spread from Bali and beyond. When traveling to this area the main jump off in Nusa Lembongan will likely be your first stop. However, some say the real paradise is just just over the yellow bridge on Ceningan Island! Here you will find beachfront restaurants, surfing, and even cliff jumping if you dare. Join us as we tell you all about the best things to do in Nusa Ceningan Indonesia!

6 Fun Things to do in Nusa Ceningan Indonesia

1. Cross the Yellow Bridge From Nusa Lembongan

When you first pull into the ferry port on the Nusa Lembongan side you’ll notice a distinct, bright yellow bridge connecting the two islands. This single lane crossing is constantly filled with motorbikes and pedestrians going back and forth.

Sadly the Nusa Ceningan Yellow Bridge collapsed in 2016 but was rebuilt in 2017 and renamed the “Bridge of Love.” We can attest that it’s back to its former glory now as we went across it multiple times on our way to and from Nusa Ceningan Indonesia!

2. Rent a Nusa Ceningan Motorbike

If you want to explore Ceningan Island to the fullest you’ll definitely need a motorbike. Aside from the stretch of beach clubs and restaurants just over the yellow bridge, it’s tough to walk anywhere else.

Most guesthouses on either island will rent you a motorbike for just $5 USD a day, and then you can get to having fun in Nusa Ceningan as you should be!

3. Hang at the Ceningan Island Beach Bars

Once you cross the Nusa Ceningan yellow bridge, take a right to a row of restaurants and bars that line the bay. Here you can enjoy a decent selection of food and drinks as you overlook the water.

Most of these restaurants have swimming pools and also hammocks on the beach that hover over the clear shallow sea. We spent one afternoon at MyBeach Warung And Bar and absolutely love it.

There is also a small collection of cafes and restaurants scattered around Nusa Ceningan Indonesia, but this is the most popular area to eat out in.

4. Visit the Nusa Ceningan Blue Lagoon

One of the most popular reasons to come here is to see the beautiful Nusa Ceningan Blue Lagoon. A towering cliff hangs over the ocean as the big blue waves smash into the rocks below.

What really makes the Nusa Ceningan Blue Lagoon special though is that the water is SO light blue it almost looks like a glacier. For those who dare, there’s also cliff jumping spots here that go up to 50 feet high!

5. Take in the Views From Mahana Point

One of our favorite spots in all of the Nusa Islands was the incredible beach at Mahana Point. The water perfectly rolls into this cove where you can sunbathe, float around, and even surf. Yes, surfing is one of the best things to do in Nusa Ceningan!

It was strange to see it here because the water seems so still. Yet, this one little beach on Ceningan Island has big enough waves for the adventure sport. There’s a restaurant at Mahana Point overlooking the water with a good menu of both western and local food. It’s also another place for Nusa Ceningan cliff jumping.

The unique part about this spot is that you can cliff jump right out of the restaurant into the ocean! You’ll have to pay to use either of the launching pads, but it’s definitely worth it for adrenaline junkies.

6. Secret Beach of Nusa Ceningan Indonesia

After you’ve seen the Nusa Ceningan Blue Lagoon and more amazing beaches, there’s one last stop to make! It’s a little bit off the beaten path, but totally worth it if you have time.

There is a hotel that has since closed down but you can walk past it to find this incredible secret beach. While the other beaches may be crowded on Ceningan Island, you should have this secluded one all to yourself.
