When speaking about Rhodes, locals and travelers alike light up with excitement for the magical village of Lindos. We knew that we would love our time here, but we never thought we’d be experiencing one of our favorite small towns in Europe! Lindos is a romantic island town that feels straight out of a dream. Let us take you through our stay at the stunning Melenos Art Boutique Hotel and show you why we fell in love with Lindos Greece.
Why Every Traveler Loves Lindos
Lindos is a special town that’s a must-see for every visitor to Rhodes. Whitewashed buildings and small side streets snake through the town center that’s filled with color and life. Crystal clear beaches hug the shores, while the famous Lindos Acropolis sits high above the village and beaches below. Honestly, the beauty of Lindos is hard to describe until you see it for yourself!
Arriving at Melenos Art Boutique Hotel
To truly experience Lindos you must stay overnight! We spent two nights at Melenos Art Boutique Hotel and really could have stayed two weeks. Upon arriving in Lindos, we were met by a member of the staff who showed us where to park.
As I strolled through the back streets, a representative of Melenos Lindos gave me tips and recommendations about the town. Little did I know what Jake was up to! He was picked up in a small cart with our bags and driven through the tiny backstreets of Lindos. What a wild and fun experience this was!
As soon as we entered the Melenos Lindos Hotel we could feel the heart and dedication that went into the property. The rich and in-depth decor mixes perfectly with the calming views of the ocean.
Our Room & the Property
To just say Melenos Art Boutique Hotel is unique would be an injustice! Every inch of the property has been intricately designed to tell the story and put on full display the beauty of Lindos. As you stroll through the hallways you’ll see everything from hand-carved stone to traditional ceramics and woodwork.
We stayed in one of the suites at Melenos Lindos and couldn’t have loved it more. All 12 rooms have their own design while incorporating 17th century Lindian architecture. We’ve stayed at many hotels around the world, but never a place that encapsulated a historic town so perfectly. It truly is “a village within a village” as they like to call it!
5 Favorite Experiences at Melenos Lindos Hotel

Chatting with the Owner & Staff: Service is something that can make or break your experience at a hotel, and Melenos Lindos Hotel delivers in spades! From the moment we arrived, we were treated like the guests of honor and it continued throughout our stay. Wine at Sunset: The sunset from our balcony was simply amazing and exactly what we needed after a long day of exploring. Sipping on sweet greek wine and watching as the sun goes down above the beach truly felt like paradise!
Unique Decor: We touched on it above, but we can’t say enough about the design of the Melenos Art Boutique Hotel. The decorations are inspiring and take you back through the history of Lindos. You can tell how much effort has been put into making this a gorgeous island destination.
Picture Perfect Location: Although the property itself is remarkable, the best part about the Melenos Lindos hotel might be its location! Being directly under the Lindos Acropolis allows you to be the first ones there when it opens. You’ll also be just a few minutes walking from the shops and restaurants of the village.
